Review on Atomi Smart WiFi Portable Tabletop Space Heater - 2nd Gen: 1500W, Oscillating, 750 Sq. Ft. Coverage, Alexa & Google Assistant Compatible with Silent Operation by Heather Rheault

This is a decent table heater that is good for a small space like a bedroom. It has High, Low and Eco settings, the latter being an energy-saving mode that automatically heats up to maintain a specific room temperature. The heater has its own thermostat, and Alexa can use that thermostat to tell you the temperature of the room it's in if set up correctly. Configuration was smooth, connection took about a minute after you downloaded the Atomi app, turned on the heating, found your own Wi-Fi signal and then the app did the rest. If you already have the Alexa Atomic Skill enabled, Alexa will find the heater very quickly. The heater also sends notifications when it goes out, which is nice. In fact, it turns off automatically when dropped, which is very cool. I have some doubts about this device. First, it emits a loud beep when you turn the device on or off, or when the device turns on/off according to the automation settings, or when it loses the WiFi signal. Apparently for the latter reason he squeaked loudly in the middle of the night, which was very annoying. BUT Atomi was kind enough to send a replacement heater that lacks the horn function. Second, it appears to be using the same or a similar Chinese-made app that controls some of the smart lights I previously purchased (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WFXKJJM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc = 1). My experience with the creator of this app is that while he tries to manage many smart devices, he doesn't make the app self-explanatory, he's difficult to communicate with and he doesn't make any changes when there's a problem. Thirdly, the heater comes in only one color - white. Since I placed it on my wooden floors I would like a different color so it blends in better with my home decor. Nevertheless, I can recommend the heater without reservation *but* please take the version without the horn. . My impression is that the manufacturer plans to sell future models without the annoying horn, but the link here seems to be for the version with the horn.
