This throw is beautiful. On the front side. It's incredibly soft, the texture is rich, and the color is exactly like the picture. It's thick enough to be huggable yet lightweight. It looks great on the arm of my chair and my teenage daughter loves to snuggle next to it and read from time to time. I took off a star because of the back. This is a kind of Sherpa material and, in my opinion, does not match the front in terms of style or quality. It picks up animal hair, looks cheap and does roll up a bit. I can't imagine it surviving the wash and still looking beautiful. However, this is the underside of the plaid and I'm using it in a room that's more of a 'living room' than a 'family room' and doesn't get much use, so - for me - that's fine. I don't think I would choose this for a high traffic room or as a lap blanket.
