Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great strap for my DSLR! Great price, great quality.

I don't write many reviews on the products I buy from Revain. I have places to go, things to do! But I really wanted other people to know how good this strap is! There were about five different similar straps in my shopping cart: Lynca, Herringbone, IMZ, Megagear and maybe a few more, all with the same basic design. Ultimately, I chose this model from JJC because of the Arca Swiss compatible plate and also because of the second cross strap. I had a wrist strap that came with my recently purchased Canon 80D from Revain, but it was fairly cheap, had a thin plastic plate to attach to the bottom of my camera, and I could never pull it tight enough to work with the camera trigger to work. plate on my tripod. So I bought this JJC strap because I felt that if the built in lock worked with my tripod I could go from handheld to tripod shooting much faster without having to detach and reattach parts. Well the JJC strap arrived today and BOY I'm happy! The packaging looked a bit generic and I was wary, but inside was an amazing product. Firstly before I forget it has a great guide in English/German/Japanese with great photos showing you how to attach the strap to the camera and adjust it to your hand as well as attaching it to a tripod. (Not that the same instructions also include instructions for another JJC strap, with blue stitching instead of red, that has a U-plate instead of an Arca-Swiss plate. Obviously, the U-plate allows your camera to lie flat on the strap surface (while this one has an Arca Swiss plate so you can attach it to compatible tripods.) I simply attached the strap to my camera and adjusted the two straps that wrap around my hand to fit perfectly The strap feels solid and appears to be made from high quality materials that look like they will take a lot of wear and tear. The wide strap that goes around the back of the hand has nice and comfortable padding.I was particularly impressed with that part that attaches to the bottom of the camera: It's HARD THICK METAL Very good, much better than the strap that originally came with my camera The screw that goes in The camera itself sits in a slot that gives you just over half an inch of wiggle room, allowing you to adjust the position of the front-to-back plate on your camera exactly where you want it. The screw has a fold-out handle that lets you tighten it quickly, and the slot is the perfect width for this dependable tool, a dime to fully tighten it. There is rubber between the plate and your camera to protect it and add friction to keep it from slipping - I remember some of the other straps I looked at appeared to be metal while one had a stopper (which was also cool). ). What I didn't know when I bought this strap is that the metal plate also has a standard threaded hole. So if you want to mount your camera on a tripod or anything other than an Arca Swiss compatible tripod, you have such an option. . I've been really happy with this because sometimes I feel like attaching the camera to my Gorilla Pod instead of a tripod and now I can do it without removing the strap - BONUS! The end of the plate also has a fold out tab with a through hole. I have to admit my ignorance when I first saw this, but after doing some research when I bought all of these straps I found out that it was for attaching your camera to one of those quick release neck straps I have at seen professional sports photographers. , where you attach the camera to a strap that allows you to hang the camera on the side while using another camera. Ok that's cool; I will try that! I'm a bit of a leather crafter so I'll try to make something similar for myself. The use of the tab is also described in the instructions. Oh and I tested the Arca Swiss trigger plate on my old tripod and it works great! Dude, I'm happy with this strap. This makes my camera much easier to use and I feel safe and secure in my hand with the carrying strap attached, with or without a cross strap. (Although the cross strap makes it super secure, which is great.) Thanks guys! saved my day
