Part of our son's return to high school is riding his bike. Many parents bring their students by car. Two miles goes by a lot faster, but we're concerned about distracted drivers. This jacket offers excellent visibility with its fluorescent/neon color scheme and reflective details. The single-layer construction provides a neat hood that fits under his helmet, or tucks it in in warmer weather when he wants to feel the wind in his hair (in his helmet). The waterproof design is ideal for staying dry in the early mornings. - Morning moisture, including elasticated cuffs and a vent at the back, ensure excellent ventilation during your workout. The back pocket is great when he travels light as he sometimes carries a backpack. When it's not, the bag is perfect for your smartphone, mask and cycling gloves. The front zip is a semi-concealed closure with a black neoprene finish to keep out rain/road spray. The zipped chest pocket is a nice touch for carrying an ID - technically an iPhone fits on the side, but it's a little heavy and loose if you're not wearing a sweatshirt underneath. Zippered welt pockets on the front are great for hand and stash while walking - you don't have to be a cyclist to enjoy this great jacket!
