Inexpensive insect nets. My nieces are normal kids so of course they try to catch things in the water or collect rocks. That is not very good. But we had 3, so we ended up with one that was actually "trying" to catch objects in mid-air. The problem is that the web is so short that it was more dangerous for the delicate winged creatures. History is not good for butterfly wings. Also, the telescoping handle broke fairly early, so the beetles were able to escape much sooner afterward. Sure with fireflies and ladybugs, I really wouldn't recommend chasing butterflies, their wings can be easily damaged. When the trade breaks, it's not so bad for fish with simple fins and tails. like a normal goldfish.
