To be fair I bought this scale a few years ago before it started to fail. I'm 230 pounds and weigh myself every day, so a few years on an $18 scale isn't bad. When he died, I decided to take another. Today I stepped on him and he told me that I weigh 220. God was I happy! rzunimag. It was a brief happy moment knowing that 220 is almost impossible for me to reach these days (damn that insulin resistance!). Anyway, I tried getting back on the scale and it got silly and a bunch of letters appeared in front of it - maybe that's what "local California" registered? Is that some kind of hint? rzunimag. I put new batteries in it and everything, and I think he weighed me with rocks or something at the time. Now it doesn't work at all. I thought people who looked at this scale should know my experience with it. As I said the first one lasted 2 years so maybe my new one was just a rotten egg.
