Got them today so haven't used them on kids yet. I bought these for real photos of the items to complement my daughter's education and the children I look after. Here's my first impression. Pros: There is a lot of flashcards for the price, large easy to read images, great for receptive and expressive learning, much cheaper than competitor cards. ), some of the images are a bit blurry to the eye, some of the images are outdated, personally I'm not a fan of some farm animals that have tags on them. However, my main focus was on the animal and food categories. I wanted high quality real life images, not just clipart. This set has lots of animals and a good amount of food (although there could be a lot more) so it definitely fits my purpose. Edit 8 months later: This is a great set with variety, my daughter loves it when I pull out the cards. Ideal for developing language skills, animal sounds, sign language, receptive skills and matching an image to an object. So many uses and it was such a wonderful purchase. I love the realistic photos and variety of this set as does my daughter, it definitely added to her learning and familiarity with different objects/words.
