I have had this bathrobe for a few months now. I ordered these after major abdominal surgery which made it difficult to wear pants with an elastic waistband. The robe was an alternative with a looser fit around my sores. It worked great! However, I wanted more than just a thin, weightless bathrobe. I was spoiled by my frequent trips to Japan and their kimono-style robes, ever-present in tiny hotel rooms. They have a thick but not fluffy arm like the best hotels in the States. A fluffy robe tends to hold moisture on my body and makes me hot. This robe was the perfect middle ground for a soft touch and a snug fit. The waffle finish gives the robe thickness and density. But it's still flexible and convenient. The belt stays tied with minimal effort. I wish the belt loops were a bit deeper for my shape. The coat washes well and keeps its shape. I recommend it to anyone who wants a strong, durable and comfortable robe worth wearing in front of anyone.
