Review on Almay Mega Volume Mascara in Black Brown, 0.34 fl. oz. by Karla Kennedy

A bit of history: I've been using Almay Mascara exclusively for over 15 years. My eyes are very sensitive and my eyelids get itchy and swollen from other products. My seasonal allergies also make me cry so much I look like a raccoon when I'm not wearing waterproof mascara. I originally "switched" to Almay One-Coat Waterproof Mascara and was happy until a few years ago when the formula changed. The 'new improved' product was too thick and sticky and dried up in the container before it ran out - so I wasn't a happy backpacker! However, I've had negative reactions to other brands, so I'm on the verge of either using something I don't like or nothing at all. Then Almay Mega Volume came out and I was hooked! The formula is smooth and easy to apply with no lumps! Lasts all day and even while swimming! I LOVE THIS MATERIAL! The megaphone-shaped applicator wand is a bit odd, but it's not hard to get used to, so don't let that put you off. Clear. I use baby oil and a washcloth and it takes a bit of rubbing to get it all off. But unlike some mascaras I've used in the past, it doesn't shed lashes (seriously!) so it's good! Full Disclosure: SHE IS SPOT! I don't know if the baby oil/mascara combo will stain, or if it will stain with other removers too - but it definitely does NOT wash out completely. I have my own set of inexpensive washcloths that I take with me when I travel so as not to ruin my family members' washcloths. It's a very minor inconvenience to me and worth making my lashes look long and dark when mine are naturally short and pale!
