Good upgrade from Series 7 but expensive

I've been using the Series 7 daily for many years now and it eventually died (a bit disappointed in its durability to be honest). It was number one when I received it. I wasn't sure if there was much room for improvement, but the Series 9 is a definite improvement, albeit twice the price of the Series 7. It also uses the same Clean & Renew cartridges as my old Series 7. . If you have a well working 7 Series I don't think it's worth upgrading, but if you need a new foil shaver this is a good choice, if a bit pricey. got it from an electric razor. Over the years I've tried top quality rotary and foil shavers and they both get the job done. This is personal preference, but for me foil razors don't cut hair better than rotary shavers, albeit at the expense of being a bit slower to work with. To be clear, this is nowhere near as good as a manual razor. If a good quality manual razor scores a 10, a Series 9 scores about 8.5, a Series 7 scores about 7.5, and a good rotary razor scores a 7. However, this makes the shave much faster, easier and less messy. I am very happy. On the other hand, it's quite expensive for an electric razor, like the 7 series when I bought it years ago. In addition, you need to buy cleaning fluid regularly, new shaving heads about once a year or more often, and my 7-series may have only lasted about 5 years. While the shave quality is better than the Series 7, I'm not sure it's worth the price difference unless money is the ultimate goal at this level. Good for you if that's the case.
