One size up for my daughter, she is tall and thin for her age so bought one size up, still short on the legs and very long in the crotch. There was also a small hole in one leg that leaked when she put them on. They are needed for a wedding, so we sew a hole and get by, the color is the same as the picture, and the fabric is nice and stretchy, warm fabric 3/5. I would try again to see if going up x 2 sizes makes a difference, but only because they aren't that expensive.
