Review on 💻 Pantum M6552NW Laser Multifunction Printer with Wireless Networking and Mobile Printing for Large Paper Capacity in Monochrome by Aneta Kociszewska ᠌

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

In general, their slogan "The New Era For Printing" is not yet justified, although the manufacturer is making obvious attempts to bring something "new" to the market, but so far the "Chinese" is winning. The most annoying thing is that all the shortcomings could be eliminated BY DOING LESS WORK! But still, for the money - it's not a bad choice :) Different pros: - Price - No fax - Thoughtful body ergonomics - Possibility of self-filling toner (with nuances) - Pull Scanner Has cons: - There is no way to set up push scanning to a network folder. At the same time, the guys got confused with scanning to FTP, email, and some other Martian features, but they didn’t do the most necessary. - The mobile app is completely useless. Again, the developers developed a bunch of everything . unnecessary. There is no way to simply set the IP address of the printer on the wifi network, you can only connect to the access point of the printer itself. That is, when you need a printer, it is suggested to switch from the main wifi to the wifi printer, then back. Naturally, this is not convenient for anyone. - A cartridge chip that prevents the toner from being used up to the end. Well, it does not work without twisting the arms. As a result, again people will go "in transit" to refuel and reflash the chips. - This is not a flaw, just a feature that allows you to understand that the consciousness of the manufacturer is somewhere in the past. When you first set up the printer, there are 3 or 4 options in the instructions for how to make the initial connection. And they are all wired. Probably everyone already has routers with DHCP and WPS even in their apartments, which allows you to connect the printer to an existing network in no time - we buy a wi-fi printer for this! - Built-in wifi hotspot. This seems to be a plus, because someone may someday need it (although unlikely), but the fact that the manufacturer in his software and instructions (in the case of a mobile application, this is generally the only option!) relies on connecting through this point access is a complete file. - Through the web interface (rather poor), it is possible to automatically ate the firmware, but it is not there, since the printer, although connected to a network with the Internet, gives an indistinct network error when trying to ate the software. Go find out why.
