This is a really good point and shoot camera. If you're looking for something with a lot of manual control, look elsewhere. Build quality is quite good, a very solid feel might require some rough handling. It has a decent sensor size, so image quality is good enough. The zoom range is limited (but this is normal for many cameras) but gives better image quality (higher zoom ranges always decrease quality). It has the usual special effects modes like many P&S cameras, all of which work well, but there are some unique effects that can be a lot of fun once you try them. One of the effects (chosen from the normal Effects menu) consists of taking a picture and then applying a random selection of effects to it. The remaining parameters are selected with the mode switch. Dual Capture turns on the rear camera and inserts a picture of the person using the camera into the corner of the captured photo - great fun at parties and events. Movie Digest takes a short video clip before talking about photography and creates a video from the day's photos. I didn't think this mode would be very interesting or useful, but when I used it I actually found it funny. You still have higher resolution footage, but you also get video that captures the moment immediately before the photo is taken. The video works flawlessly, as does the Wi-Fi connection and the mobile app. I'm not sure why this camera isn't the more popular P&S model, it's a really good camera.
