I was almost ready to go back, but then I started playing with the DIP switches. Trust me, these tiny micro switches work. I believe this is the only HDMI splitter that actually recognizes the supported format of the device connected to HDMI1. All other splitters are wired, either work or not. But this pup learns (EDID) when you set the DIP switches to learn, and sends the correct video and audio signal to the output device. It's still being watched. Let's see if it still works. Updated 11/13/2020. I've been using it for over a year now and it works perfectly. Frozen once a year. The problem was resolved after I unplugged it, waited 10 seconds and plugged it back in. This is the best product in the audio extractor category.
