I don't want to rate this product negatively but 3 stars is as much as I can give without being able to test it. I ordered the big one first. I'm 5ft 9in, 175lbs and wear 32" or 33" pants. The big belt was too big. I had 1 hole in the belt after tightening it (without my IWB at the time) enough to hold my pants in order. So I have the long, dangling end casually hanging to the left. With my IWB I still have a very long portion of the lip left of the buckle which was unacceptable to me especially when dressed as it doesn't reach the belt loop so no way to make it look messy. So I sent it back and got the middle one. The middle one didn't fit. I had to tighten it very hard to get to the first hole. In other words, there would be no way to buckle the seat belt on my IWB. I'm not sure how this thing is supposed to fit. I wish they had more options than just medium or large because apparently it only works if you're not a police officer and only wear this as a duty belt unless you're a specific size. I guess if your waist is exactly 34" to 36" then a large size will be fine for you. If you are 33 or 32 years old, neither large nor medium will do, unless you are carrying a large interactive whiteboard and other packaged items. Or maybe I'm a custom size. I was dying to get a new stiff belt for the IWB and have been trying to convince myself to get one for years. Now it looks like my cheap $20 straps should do the trick. I think better than rope or rope.
