I have been using double edge butterfly razors for almost 20 years. I usually buy one with a female screw that you twist from the bottom to open the bald housing. I checked out a few of them because they tend to be cheaply made and sold at ridiculous prices. I wanted one that wouldn't fall apart for the next two or three years. My wife and I were looking at the same time she found this razor. I didn't order straight away but went shopping and read reviews. There are only a few reviews for this product, four to be exact. What ultimately led to my purchase was that these razors are made by a small family business in Germany. I also like to have a good shave with a straight razor and have several different straight razors. When I compared my American straight razor to my German Kriegar straight razor and my antique straight razor was passed down from my great uncle who was a barber in Germany, I found that my American straight razor wasn't holding the blade and that I had to secure the edge off usual reasons. Now it's part of the display and I only use straight razors made in Germany. Overall I love how this dual blade razor is made and assembled. I did a trial shave with shaving soap and it was amazing. Thanks to the family who work so hard to make a quality and stylish razor at a reasonable price. Thank you and your family!
