This alligator costume is so cute and my grandson loves to wear it and run around the house roaring! I don't know if alligators roar, but he thinks they do! I can still put the outfit on him easily, it just slides over his head. He is three years old and weighs 38 pounds. Assuming he's growing at a normal pace, that doesn't suit him at all when he's six years old! Speaking for kindergarten teachers in my mind, I'd say most of them won't fit in. It's late August and I think it's still appropriate for Halloween, but it will be difficult to wear more than a shirt underneath in the cold weather. However, the value of the game is priceless! He's really enjoying being an alligator (or chicken?!) this month. Thank you for a fun toy that really encourages imaginative play.
