Purchased to replace a useless battery operated model. Because it packs in, it has more power and works wonders for my cashmere sweaters, even vintage angora sweaters with long fibers and lots of pills. I have had no problems shaving too closely or damaging the coat at all. I just laid the sweaters out on the ironing board, checked all the parts of the sweater, especially the seams, cuffs and edges. Tons of tablets and stretched fibers are removed leaving a smooth finish.
