I bought different types of lights to try at home. These have turned out to be my favorites. What I like: - 9 LEDs with no dark areas in the beam. I tried another brand and the bar wasn't as hard as this one. I think it's because they burned out their LEDs. This light is much better and has a nice solid beam. The light beam is bright. Solid feeling. They are made of plastic, but feel comfortable. Other flashlights I tried seemed cheap. They slip off the bracket. You can use glue to attach the light or you can use screws to fix the light. In any case, mount the plate. Light slides across the plate. You can slide it to remove the batteries. Batteries are not affected; You still have to rotate the back of the flashlight to access the battery compartment. - The luminaire is autonomous when not installed. Love it - I can remove the flashlight from the mount and use it as a flashlight without worrying about the batteries falling out. I've used it as a flashlight as many times as I've used it as a flashlight (I wasn't expecting this, but it was VERY useful) - the glue WORKS. There are so many of them that it leads to the fall and destruction of the light. So this is a big deal for me. Cons - I was looking for a smaller footprint. This 9-LED version is almost 4 inches wide.
