The straps are elastic enough to be worn on the bike! There are 4 settings: 1- Hi2- Low3- Strobe4- OffStrobe is great for car rides! This helps other drivers see you on the road! Bright enough to see where you are walking/riding. Bright enough to see the road ahead! I would recommend attaching a bike helmet to it so you can turn your head and look around. Overall I would not recommend using this or any other product in total darkness for general safety reasons. But good for morning or late night runs/biking/hiking/etc. in ambient light (street lights, moonlight, etc.). This will definitely help people in cars notice you and not run over (or get too close to) you. Also suitable for morning trail runs (after sunset or before sunrise). I used it for my long bike ride when it was 72F at 530A but sunrise was around 615A. I returned to 730A, it was already 76F. The light was still at full brightness the whole time I came back.
