If I knew now what I knew when I bought it, I would never have bought it. I spent a lot of money on the Play 5, Play 3, soundbar and subwoofer. These speakers are supposed to be MINE, but apparently Sonos rents them to me because if I don't let them force the data refresh, I CANNOT use them. Literally now (January 27, 2020) I just wanted my Play 5 to work in the bathroom so I can shower. However, there was an update and it did NOT allow me to use the app on my phone until I did the update. So I had to sit here and waste my time on updates I DON'T NEED. I only play local music from my NAS. Or, in the case of my soundbar/subwoofer, I turn on one of my televisions. It works perfectly, so updates are not necessary for me. Will definitely be selling it soon. I will never buy a Sonos product again. BTW, as a side note, if you don't connect them to Wi-Fi and sign up for them when you first buy them, you won't be able to use them, which, like updates, is a complete BS.Horrible enterprise.
