This dress is the same material as the top "bra” portion. It’s stretchy and will work well before baby and after baby arrives to help with breastfeeding. My problem was, the dress part of the material was too thick for my liking. I like to wear thin, soft, airy stuff as a night gown and I just couldn’t imagine sleeping in this. As far as sizing, I got an XL because I’m kinda busty and usually go to 36E when I’m breastfeeding so I wanted good coverage and support. It was perfect in terms of sizing. I felt like the dress part was more like a size large and the bra part was just right for a busty breastfeeding mommy. I would have kept them if the rest of the night gown was a more thinner buttery soft material.
