Despite the high price, this charging station is well suited for public places. My biggest concern was that the charging cords, which are locked into the base, could be pulled from their sockets and would have to be taken apart to reconnect. I didn't notice this in detail, but I assumed that something needs to be developed to take this into account. . It was! The ports in the base can be slid forward until the end of the USB connector is flush with the inner wall (it could also be called a cable trap/guide), preventing the connector from being pulled out. In my testing, I couldn't detach the cable with the base attached. The extra-thin ports can be a problem as the ports don't slide all the way forward. However, I think this is unlikely, since it has to be a special cable. And if that were the case, the extra space could be filled with stuff. When assembled, the buttons to open the cube are discreet and unlikely to be found by someone unfamiliar with the cube. Uninformed I would suggest that the base needs to be detached from the table/other surface to remove the cables. The plastic feels solid and the power cord is thick, like branded computer power supplies. If this cube fits the aesthetic and has the right features for your setup, I would have no hesitation in recommending it based on your budget. Another quality product from Belkin! But that's JustMe.
