Hankook Optimo ME02 185/60/14 bought for 2170r/pc. Rubber for comfortable (quiet, soft) and safe (normal grip) driving. I think the choice of rubber is a compromise. Hard rubber usually has a long resource, is resistant to the appearance of hernias in the pits, but is heavier and tans at near-zero temperatures. Soft (to a reasonable extent) rubber has better grip at low temperatures, is less noisy, more comfortable, but the resource is also less, and it is afraid of pits. Deciding that good grip at low temperatures (0 . + 5C) and softness when driving on roads from pieces of randomly thrown asphalt is more important to me than a high resource, I bought this model for myself. Saving an extra thousand (10% of the cost) when choosing rubber is stupidity, although the price bites for an ordinary resident of our country. You should not get into pits on such rubber, the sidewall is still soft (but there are even softer models). The wide grooves of the tread should drain water well, it will rain - we'll check.
