Review on 🐱 Discover the Top-rated Armarkat Cat Tree Model: A Haven for Your Feline Friend by Ladonna Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love it (despite some issues)

I ordered model number B7810 in ivory. When the package arrived one of the posts was damaged (see photo). As a result, we were unable to install the top perch. Luckily all other parts in the box were in perfect condition and we were able to build the rest of the scratching post. That evening I emailed Armarkat with the Revain receipt, model number and the part I needed. A few hours later I received an email saying I would be getting a free replacement and I had to wait for an email with a tracking number. This letter appeared the next day. Points for excellent customer service. I'm giving one star because while it's a quality scratching post with a plush carpet and solid construction, I don't think it would do very well for a larger or larger cat. Do you see the platform on the second level? In the photo, a white cat is resting on it, hanging its paw to the side. The idea is for the cat to go through the hole between levels 1 and 2 (where the rope hangs) and then climb onto the level 2 platform from behind to rest or climb to the upper levels. The platform extends a few inches beyond level 2 to allow for this action. Since the platform is as high as very close to the third level roof, my cat just doesn't use it to rest as it's too difficult to reach. He tried it the first day we assembled it and never again. Also on the second level there is not much space to stand due to hole, scratching posts and platform. My cat jumps on level 2 on the corner right next to the train platform, almost falls over because there is no place to navigate, then climbs onto the platform and level 3 where the house is. So it uses the platform in this way, but it's not optimal. He struggles with it so much that I saw him running around under his scratching post trying to figure out how to do it. Sometimes he just tries and almost falls out of the tree; sometimes he yells for me to show him how to do it or help him up. He is 8 years old, half Maine Coon, very tall and heavier at 14 pounds. This design would work for kittens or smaller, smaller cats, but since my cat won't be able to squeeze onto the platform, she doesn't know what to do. The BEAUTIFUL thing about a scratching post is that the house and perches are very spacious. My cat never used the flats in his old tree because they were too small. That's actually where he slumbers. I like it. And the perch has free space. His old one was tight and his legs and arms kept falling off. I think I could change the tree by removing the platform on the 2nd level and then everything would be perfect. Note: In the photos I have not yet installed the top perch due to the damaged post. Now he stands on the roof of his house, but only until a spare part arrives.
