When I bought this product I knew the outlet chute would be shorter than I wanted, magnetic chute base and all. I thought the well would be at least 2 to 1 1/2 inches deep in the socket, but the well is 1 inch. This can work for standard sized spark plugs, but if you have custom sized spark plugs, don't let the socket reach the hex of the spark plug, meaning you can't screw the spark plugs in or out. Which really defeats the purpose of that long 5 inch plus jack. You can see at the 3/8th end of the bushing that the rest of the bushing is hollow. What I plan to do is see if the magnetic base is pushed in and see if I can knock it out given the depth of the base. If not, you may need to drill a hole. This bushing fits fuel tank straps or parking brake adjusters with long screws or studs. That's why I gave it a 3/5. Although I knew I was buying it for a purpose it wasn't made for, the applications it could have been used for were narrow or thin due to the ridiculously shallow well.
