Years ago when Ray Ban parted ways with Bausch and Lomb I was disappointed and upset, that my favorite Ray Ban sunglasses are no longer the same. I didn't have to worry. Twenty years later, Luxottica still hasn't let me down. I usually keep sunglasses until they're almost unwearable, although this pair of Outdoorsman replaces those that have been lost. Even then I had them for 3 or 4 years and they were still in great condition. Revain delivered them a day early and the extra cleaning/repair kit was a nice touch. Revain describes the lenses as green crystals. That is not right. These glasses have Ray Ban G15 lenses and although they appear green they are actually a neutral grey. G15 stands for Grey/15% Light Transmission, which means they block 85% of incoming light. I keep reading where some people are or think they are getting fakes. Rest assured the pairs I have received are the real deal. I hope to keep them for as long as they last, which should be years.
