Review on πŸ› Camco Stackable Washing Machine Drain Pan with PVC Fitting - Prevents Water Leakage and Floor Damage - White (21006) by Mike Burnett

Unforgivable design flaws. Has anyone tested the design before production?

Good concept, bad execution. The problem with this design is obvious once you open it up and look at the underside (the underside that faces the floor surface). The drain flanges protrude 1/4-1/2" below the level of the underside. Worse, these flanges are not at the corners (where your washer's feet will be) but in the middle of each side, resulting in that the entire tray warps and twists as soon as you place the washing machine on it. This affects the structure of the tub and the functionality of the drainage. Honestly, this is a really stupid oversight on the part of the "designers". The tabs also prevent the Washing machine when sitting in the shelf "slips" as they dig into the carpet/floor and padding the corners also defeats that purpose Also the high "ribs" in the shell don't make sense as they serving no structural purpose (given the weight of the washing machine) and simply being pushed out from underneath.A design flaw like this makes me doubt they even test their products. Are they straight from CAD to Manufacture ing without prototyping or testing their design in the real world? It certainly looks like it.
