5 stars for the app but 3 for the scale

I've had this scale for 6 months now. I bought it so it can upload and track my progress in the app and share that information with my Fitbit app. It was all very easy to set up and worked without any problems. I'm still me, and I feel like any Fitbit user can say I love all the information and love it when it's tracked with little effort on my part. It helps me stay motivated and keeps me going. I've also learned a lot more about my body and the impact of weightlifting, cardio, and diet on my overall weight through this process and using these weights. I have found this knowledge very helpful and I feel like it will help me maintain my weight after I shed the rest of the weight I needed to shed. I wouldn't have been able to figure it out if it wasn't well tracked on the app. So on that part, the main reason to buy, this is a great scale! As for the weights themselves, I would reduce them to 3. These weights are no better than any other weights I've had. I feel like this scale is spot on for fat, muscle mass and water weight. I'm sure it's relatively close, but as I plateau in my overall weight loss, I start to realize how much of a guess that is. I've lost very little weight in the last few months or so but I've lost a few inches and I can clearly see my muscles have become more defined which tells me I'm not losing weight because I'm gaining muscle mass and losing fat. The scale showed me the same muscle mass and body fat percentage throughout that time, making me question my ability to count, but this weekend was the real hit for me. I have attached an image to illustrate. You can see I weighed 163.2 on Saturday, which is pretty close to my weight lately. On Sunday we had a big barbecue and I ate more than I should have. I've gained weight as expected as I'm retaining more water and waste. Our bodies cannot and do not convert food to fat immediately. It takes about a day to process, and when calories are burned through increased exercise, they have no opportunity or need to store them as fat. As you can see in the picture I gained 1% body fat and lost water weight and muscle mass. It struck me as odd that the percentage of fat and muscle mass should have stayed the same and the water weight should have gone up. Then today, following my usual healthy diet, I magically lost that 1% fat and regained my muscle mass. yes sorry but no I've never gained that much fat or lost muscle, I just retained excess water and waste from the food I ate. So I have little faith in its ability to calculate anything more than your total weight, but I'll give it an A for effort and say I really don't think a scale can calculate that accurately.
