Charging issues are best experienced with under cabinet lights

I bought a set of these 18 LED light strips to put under my wife's kitchen cabinets. They are very light. They come with a metal strip and double sided tape to stick them on the surface where you want to get the light; and then the bracket is attached to the metal strip by the magnet inside. I immediately placed them both on our Droid phone chargers when I took them out of the box. None of the lights came on right out of the box so both batteries were dead. When you first connect them to the charger, a red light will illuminate, which should turn green when fully charged. The charging light on one device turned green in less than three hours, while the red light on another device did not turn green after more than five hours on the charger. But the LEDs on both looked equally bright, so I'm just guessing that the red/green lights aren't working properly on the same unit. My concern is that a light hasn't been fully charged and won't last as long between charges. However, this doesn't give you a good idea of the internal quality. Will up my rating after seeing how well a light actually holds a charge. UPDATE: I've raised my rating from 3 to 5 stars because they work as advertised. For some reason, one lamp took twice as long to charge, but it's fully charged and seems to be working just as well as the other light source. I think keep in mind that you might need 3 to 6 hours for the initial charge. They're nice and bright and I love the motion sensor on them. We'll see about the durability, but I really like these lights. Good enough for me to order another device. UPDATE: I've lowered my rating on these lights due to an ongoing issue charging one of them. It still takes more than six hours to charge a single device and the red light never goes out. I turned off the motion sensor and just switched to the power button to save battery life, but the battery in this device is still completely dead after a week of non-use. 50% failure is not good quality.
