It arrived today and I am very happy with it. Full disclosure is that I ordered this for my tiny 3 lb dog who shakes in an instant and has little silver paw prints all over it. I really think it makes more sense to use it on a puppy than a kid. It's a beautiful shade of blue, pale, with touches of aqua, I really like this color. As for the fabric, on the one hand it's a velvety fleece, very silky and soft, but honestly I don't like the long blue Sherpa fur on the other. It's a fairly cheap matte looking sherpa that fits my dog but I don't think I would do it for a human child. I also don't think something silver embossed (paws are embossed, slightly textured silver that seems to heat up on velvety wool) is really a good idea for a child, doesn't seem like it's going to hold up. lots of washing, and let's face it, where there's a baby, there's a lot of washing too. But the plaid is very pretty and how you use it is up to you, it's neatly folded and tied with a nice ribbon so it's perfect for a gift. I would buy it in other colors if offered but then again it would be for my pup.
