I was asked to improve the lighting of an enclosed stairwell with a poor quality three-way lighting system leading to the basement. I found this Motion Sensor LED Hallway Light by accident and didn't think the price was too high to try. When I got the light, the first thing that struck me was "No Instructions". So now I really wanted to roll the dice on the install. I chose a spot about halfway up the stairs and plugged it straight into a 120 volt outlet. The stairwell was dark, as usual, and when I set foot on the first step of the landing, everything was beautifully lit. The amount of light is what the corridor needs. The owner was satisfied, what I noticed is that there is no adjustment of the motion sensor. If the LED is defective, there is no replacement - you replace the light. In addition, the motion sensor becomes less sensitive to more light than usual.
