Firstly the instruction manual is terrible. Second, the electronic display is incomprehensible. Third, there are great recipes for just about any dish you don't feel like making. After carefully reading the instructions and trying three different foods, from veggies to meat, I still couldn't pinpoint exactly what the cooker was doing and ended up having to toss each of them as undercooked or overcooked. Not interested in going to Quizinart University in four years to learn how to use the damn thing. Back to my non-electric pressure cooker. Do not buy this item if you don't like disappointment. Whoever designed the controls and wrote the instructions at Cuisinart should be fired. The unit returns to Revane today.
