I ordered this for a teenager's bathroom. It wasn't a perfect color match but the teen loved that it was big and fluffy! The teenager liked that he filled the space! The teenager liked that there was finally a regular bath mat and not a scratchy towel. It smelled fresh out of the box but I washed it as a precaution. It looked just as new and fabulous after tossing it in my front loader with some towels. The teenager is right; it's very plush and I had to remind the pup not to sleep on it! The back has a great non-stick material, although I can't tell you what it is - it seems to hold up well on a teenager's tile floor. The teenager didn't complain that he moved when getting in and out of the shower. I am VERY happy because there are no puddles left after a long teenage shower. The carpet absorbs moisture well, but dries quickly, which is incredible given that the teenager often showers 3 times a day! I highly recommend the KMAT Luxury Bath Mat! This makes a great addition to our home and I'm sure it will find plenty of use - teens and puppies alike!
