I bought these after having my trackball mouse on my desk was causing some really serious hand problems - pain and numbness - caused by clock work at my desk (pandemic , someone?). It definitely helped by lowering the mouse and bringing it closer to my body. The problem is that the mechanism that screws it to the table lowers the mouse too much. This means that in my configuration, the mouse pad doesn't really rotate in my lap, which would be ideal. Instead, he sits next to my knees. I placed my trackball on the other side of the mouse pad tray. If you were using a mouse instead of a trackball and you were having this problem, your arm would not be in line with your body.
