These cables are great if you have both old and new equipment. No need to switch, just pull out one tip and use the other as needed. They curl at the base of the cable connector, but this is an inherent flaw of cables that cannot twist. Although this affects the lifespan of the cable, it is a multi-pack so you have a spare. The 10-foot length is a bonus - it goes everywhere and allows you to use your devices while they're plugged in. Definitely recommended to share with all your friends and family! I can even buy them as gifts.
