A great alternative in the event of a power outage in your car or as a traffic alert to change tires en route.
Got two of these for a car kit I built for my son in law for Christmas. His new job involves him traveling a lot and he's not exactly Bear Grylls, so the purpose of the kit was to give him something to help him get over his hump while waiting for roadside assistance in the event of a car accident. To me, these are essential devices in case his battery dies and he doesn't have an alarm. They are very bright, although they seem a bit dim during the day and in the times of 1000+ lumen flashlights. But the flash, like the color, should be clearly visible from a distance, especially at night or on cloudy days. A great little tool that I hope he rarely needs.
