I bought this as a cape for a bathing suit but it's perfect as a summer dress for a modest dinner. Not fashionable enough for a wedding or a first date. I am an apple shaped woman who usually wears a size 16 dress. My stomach doesn't "bulge" and I really have an hourglass figure in this dress. I'm a C cup and it makes my boobs look bigger (I think it helps with the hourglass look) so you might want to reconsider if you're DD or larger, you might look like you have "full boobs." ". I bought XXL and couldn't be happier. The instructions say dry clean but I wash in cold water and everything is fine. No shrinkage, I washed 3 times and tumble dried. In addition, the black color does not fade, which makes me very happy!
