If the funds available are exceedingly restricted, it is highly unlikely that a more suitable alternative will be discovered. But if you plan on using it for a longer period of time, my advice is to look for something that is comparable or even of higher quality (possibly made by the same manufacturer; judging by the product, the company engenders a certain level of confidence); however, it should always come with a battery and a stabilizer! These are some advantages: The replication of natural colors, the high quality of the images produced, the variety of settings available (it is even possible to install additional software on a Canon camera), and the cost! The batteries in it are of a poor quality. Maybe, this can be remedied by investing in a good charger and batteries with a high capacity; however, doing so would be exceedingly inconvenient in many different ways. The absence of a stabilizer is the second big downside to this design. If you take images using a flash solely or have a tripod, this will not be a problem for you; but, if you take pictures using any other method, the answer is yes. When it comes to photography, even the slightest movement of the hands during the act of shooting can have a significant impact. It's possible that the design of the camera will come across as an inconvenience to certain people, but ultimately, this comes down to personal preference.
