Review on Kondor Blue V Mount Battery Plate by Chris Cruz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I would not recommend the KONDOR BLUE battery plate!

I just fried my HDMI connector on a BMPCC 6k that hooked up to my monitor today. You can simply connect the D-Tap cables upside down and reverse the polarity on the KONDOR BLUE battery plate. You might think that all power D splitters can only be connected one way, making it impossible to reverse polarity. You might think you can't use D-tap when most accessories are very expensive and foolproof faucets are a must. I was wrong. The battery plate of the KONDOR BLUE D-tap is easy to flip over. I plug in my KONDOR power cord and the KONDOR BLUE HDMI cable was hot and I can smell burned plastic. I immediately turned off the power, but the damage was already done even though the camera was off. I've read articles about this and people have commented that it's not possible to connect upside down, but the KONDOR BLUE battery plate is certainly possible.
