As a former long-distance runner, I wore all kinds of running belts and water bags for years. Camelbaks and other bladder bags are very awkward to keep clean and don't strike me as particularly hygienic; Traditional water bottles are bulky and often slosh around in their holders with every step you take. Fuel bands have the right idea - smaller bottles in multiple places on their specially designed band. Buddy Pouch offers the same small bottle as the Fuel Belt at around 7oz, but there's only one bottle to quench your thirst - drink wisely. So why is this a good idea? I'm no longer running marathons that require a liter of water, but relatively short distances that rarely require a break in the water, but sometimes it's hot as hell and a few sips help finish the run. So the size doesn't bother me that much. And I think it's necessarily small because if it were a heavy big bottle it would wobble and possibly weigh too much and stress the magnets. The bag itself is difficult. The magnets are very strong and I love the fact that I can attach them to anything I wear whether it's pants, shorts or a phone belt. In an ideal world, this little plastic bottle would be made out of a double-layer steel like Hydroflask. Then the water gets really refreshing and cold. Hey Buddy Pouch, Hint Hint.
