I just finished my lash lift at home and am very happy with the results. My lashes look just as good, if not better, than when I pay for extensions at the salon. I did one eye at a time and would recommend doing this so you can really see what you are doing and being careful not to get the solutions in your eyes. There was no redness, burning or discomfort, the whole process took about an hour. I use medium sized pads. I'm sure you could reuse them if you cleaned them thoroughly, but even if you didn't, it would cost you $5-6 for the last lift. It's worth it! I've seen many other kits on YouTube (watch the tutorial first for some tips) but I'm very happy with this one.
