Review on Bostitch Personal Electric Sharpener EPS4 BLACK by Amanda Castillo

Oddly enough I bought this electric pencil sharpener to sharpen pencils, which it does quite well. The only basis of comparison is the 110 volt spikes from my childhood that could be heard across the room and weighed 2 pounds. This 12V DC sharpener is powered by an adapter. Its motor is more efficient than the air-conditioned motors of the late '70s and propels the blades through multiple gears, but while older model sharpeners cut a new pencil point in under 1.5 seconds, this one discreetly wheezes. Pencil in about 5. I feel like I can stop the motor by inserting the pencil too hard. It sharpens my pencils though, a pretty sharp point after maybe 10 points. For the price, I think it's worth it for the very small amount of wooden pens we use.
