I got the 1/2" version, because it says it is expandable, which it definitely is. I got 5 normal AC cords inside and they are very secure. (Actually loops of the same lamp cord, just to keep it off the floor). Could probably fit 1-2 more inside if I needed. It's juuust starting to pull away at the very ends with 5, but it is not very noticeable nor is it an issue.As advertised, it requires searing when cut to eliminate fraying. This step is essential, but kind of fickle. It must be cut in its "closed" form (don't pull it open), the ends seared well, then pulled open to prevent it melting itself shut. If you try searing it when pulled open, you'll have ratty ends. Took me a few tries, and I wasn't thrilled with the end product, but it was soon out of sight/out of mind. That's my only gripe, but overall this is a great cord management product.
