cute shoes; too small

My daughter wears a size 5 in most shoes. We just bought her a size 5 shoe but that must be a different sizing system. the sizes run small. she pushed her little feet in there and took them off right away and said they were too small. the shoe looks even better than on the internet. but it's a shame she can't wear it.
