I was very excited to start 3D printing. The printer was securely packed. The printer assembly instructions were easy to understand. The gantry was completely assembled and only had to be attached to the base of the printer. The extruder head worked smoothly and smoothly, and the timing belt connection was easy and quick to adjust. It was a bit difficult for me to push the filament through, but that's just due to my lack of experience with 3D printing. After the filament flowed, I calibrated the printer. I read about the calibration method using a printable piece of paper. Using this method I was able to calibrate it and then do a test print of the calibration on a dyno. This calibration test printed 9 squares and allowed me to set up the bed even better. I like the way the program's interface works. Easy to navigate and adjust settings. Then I started making some test prints (see attached pictures). I created printer files with Ultimaker Cura and then saved them to the SD card. Depending on how high you set the quality, the printouts will be very good, but the higher the print quality, the longer it will take to print. If I read the manual more closely, it shows PCB and extruder details, which will be helpful if I want to update some details later. Compared to other 3D printers I've seen, this one is very quiet. It's just the sound of two fans. Overall this printer is fantastic and well priced for a larger bed. I've seen smaller printers for about the same price. I look forward to getting into some larger prints.
