Update 12/30/2013 I bought the first one in March 2013. I liked it at first, my 1 year old daughter and I had severe hay fever, but after using it we felt very good. However, a few weeks after first use, I noticed that many of the joints of the outer panels were covered with very fine dust. So the housing is poorly sealed and the air went around the filter. I sealed these spots with duct tape but still along the display and the boots on top that sucked air but I continued to use it anyway. I have always used it in my bedroom with the windows closed. I usually clean the pre-filter and the filter once every few weeks, but after about 8 months from the first use I noticed that it doesn't suck air from the back, even if the color of the filter is still gray. I ordered a replacement filter but contacted Oransi and Oransi quickly sent me a replacement with a new Finn HEPA. Thanks, but this 2nd unit had problems with the seal, ionizer, UV lamp and motor. The ionizer was annoying with high-frequency noise, the housing wasn't sealed as well as the 1st one and even at low fan speeds the motor vibrated and always boiled very smelly air, like a burnt semiconductor. I contacted Oransi within a month and Oransi quickly sent me a replacement. Many Thanks. Now the 3rd, also badly soldered, the ionizer started making a lot of noise. The engine often vibrates at low fan speeds. I actually completely disassembled the 1st and 2nd before scrapping them and found that the body panel joints were not well designed. I don't see that it was designed with real "sealing" in mind. Second, the source of the bad smell was the UV lamp and filter in the room with the lamp. The UV lamp was still on but the filament looked burnt and the filter in the room with the lamp smelled very bad. The engine mounting bolt was not tightened, not even fully tightened. It was right behind a hepa filter so I was able to find it without taking it apart. Now I almost give up looking for the perfect quality device. It still has a 10 year warranty but I wonder if I keep asking if everything is ok or not because I'm sorry they may not be able to supply a quality unit. If I were to write a review within a week of first use I'd say I really love it, but that's the fact. Anyway, the customer support is really good and very helpful. I appreciate her very much. ============================================== = === =====================Update: 03/20/13 I changed the star from 3 to 4. I contacted Oransi and they explained to me that the airflow goes to the left. Now it mentions on its homepage too, it's designed for the most efficient airflow, so it's fine. I don't care now. (Although I still feel weird) I usually run it on fan speed 3 (fastest) with UV and ionizer. Fan level 3 is actually commendable. Basically, the slits on the left and right side of the body also get air. There is also a small gap around the filter frame and housing, so white dust forms in these areas after about a few days. lots of trees and make pollen really a lot! So actually, this air purifier really helps. Me and my daughter (15 months) have allergies but my wife didn't care about pollen and dust in the air but she says it's good! fresh and light breath! Actually, this is too small for my living room, but still works well. I understand that if this is your first time using an Oransi air purifier like me, you may not buy 2 at a time, buy one and see how it works (buy on Amazon, easy return). If you like it and want a different one, go to production. They can give you a discount on your second air purifier. (I understand) and it will be cheaper than Revain. (Sorry, my favorite Amazon.)======================================= = === ====================It was delivered a day before the price, it's actually good. If you want to buy several of these, orani's homepage would be cheaper. It looks good, it's over $300, so I figured there's nothing I wouldn't like. But what I found I don't like, the air doesn't come out directly at the front, unbelievable for the price. For example, if you look down at his body, set the front direction up, and say 0 degrees is vertical (really front), then the air exits at about 40 degrees to the left of vertical. And so on at all fan speeds. So the airflow is not designed very well. I wonder if all blocks are like this or not. The manual is a little sketchy, hard to tell how the HEPA fill should be installed. You can download the manual from the oranis homepage. See page 5, HEPA fill is actually quite difficult to install this way, but with some effort it can be installed this way. See also page 7 for cleaning. Installing fill material as on page 5 and vacuuming it as on page 7 means you are vacuuming it from the other side where the dust is coming from. It makes no sense. If page 7 is correct, page 5 shows the wrong filter direction. I've been using it for a few hours now, so I don't really want to use the filter any other way (blowing dust into the air). air anyway. The fan speed can be changed from 1,2,3. 3 is quite loud, but 1 is very quiet, it can run while sleeping. At least that's the first impression of him. I will update if I find anything good or bad.
