I have no idea why this product isn't given a 1 star overall rating. The hand consists of a metal pot covered with copper or bronze. When bent just 2 degrees with bare hands, it broke in 2 places with less than a pound of force at the tip. This means that the force of lifting the piston will also break it after a very short time, if not immediately after installation. For the price I wouldn't even send it back, I'd rather throw it in the trash. But I want to save everyone else from wasting money on something that doesn't work at all. To be clear, installing these knobs often requires bending the arm slightly to get through the plunger, and that's actually part of the setup. I was able to take the remaining rod and snap it into my hands with no effort. I think even a child could do it. No kidding, this is the worst product I've ever bought from Revain and that's really saying something. I ended up ordering a $14 model with a plastic grip that will withstand the impact of the tank better and, ironically, is several times stronger. Please learn from my mistake, I'm taking $5 per team. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The packaging even says it's a brass rod, but it's clearly a light gray metal pot that looks like tin and has only been coated with a very thin layer of plated foil to make it look like brass.
