My ankles sometimes swell due to a blood clot. I needed something to compress my ankle area. I have used compression stockings in the past and these are difficult to work with when your ankle is already swollen. I wear these ankle braces all day while sitting at my desk. They are very helpful in reducing ankle swelling. I put them on in the morning and keep them on most of the day unless I'm going out. They are really good quality. Straps allow you to adjust the size of the ankle. The 2 velcro straps are very strong and have retained their strength without stretching or tearing at the seam.
