I always try to read the fine print on bags that claim to be eco-friendly. From what I understand this bag will be fine for that (some just break into small pieces what's left of the product). I like this bag for things that aren't too heavy or for a small trash can. So far I haven't had a problem with the bag tearing, but I don't overstretch the bag either. Although it's a bit pricey, I don't use this type of bag often enough to hesitate to buy it. Another plus is that these bags come in a real storage box. There are so many eco-friendly bags in boxes that can't be taken care of. It makes and is attractive if that is important to you. I recommend: perfect size, weight and environmental responsibility. Very happy with this purchase.
